Presentation of the collections
Although the Jacques Doucet Literary Library preserves the manuscripts of such emblematic works as Apollinaire's Calligrammes, Gide's L'immoraliste, Valéry's Charmes or Breton's Arcane 17, the richness of its collections is not measured solely by the value or notoriety of a particular text or writer. It stems above all from the grouping together of manuscripts and correspondence from authors who are now known or unknown, which form an exceptional literary network, in perfect resonance with the spirit of Jacques Doucet and his constant concern for modernity.

The Literary Archives of Modernity include the manuscripts of four authors of the BLJD that have entered the public domain: Verlaine, Mallarmé, Apollinaire, Jarry; but also those of Robert Desnos, still protected. The iconographic archives, personal papers, objects and some printed matter also constitute part of these corpora. These are not exhaustive.
Even if some authors represented on ALMé are now in the public domain, it is necessary to read the legal notices [link] related to any public or private reuse of ALMé's digital files.
Help for using ALMé is available here.

The Aura portal provides access to the collections of paintings, graphic works, sculpted works, photographs, familiar objects, and furniture objects kept at the library. It is currently being created.
